There are already available for the scientific community the 2018 data bases for 6 oceanographic variables collected daily of the Humboldt Institute of Marine and Aquaculture Research (IHMA) between the coordinates from 0 to 20° of south latitude and from 070 to 090° of west longitue. The variables are the following:
- Sea surface temperature (in celcius degrees): 66,048 daily data points, with a resolution of 8 Km. Source: HYCOM
- Sea surface temperature anomaly (in celcius degrees): 6,724 daily data points, with a resolution of 25 km. Source: NOAA
- Sea surface salinity (in practical salinity units): 66,048 daily data points, with a resolution of 8 Km. Source: HYCOM
- Chlorophyll of sea surface (in miligrams per cubic meter): 233,770 daily data points, with a resolutions of 4 Km. Source: Oceancolor
- Altimetry of the sea surface (in centimeters): 66,048 daily data points, with a resolution of 8 km. Source: HYCOM
- Sea level anomaly (in centimeters): 6,724 daily data points, with a resolution of 25 km. Source: Copernicus
Base upon the listed data bases made available by IHMA, it is possible to generate new variables to analyze, by instance, the thermal variability of the sea surface or the variability of any of the available variables.
